Microsoft Windows 8 will include software acceleration function

According to foreign media reports, in the Windows 7 operating system, the biggest graphical change in the Windows user interface is to incorporate the Aero (glass) style, transparent window decoration is cleverly personalized Windows system.

In Windows Vista, the Aero element is only available for advanced versions of Windows. Even in Windows 7, the Aero element requires a computer with basic hardware acceleration support to run, and some graphics-intensive applications. The program may also cause Aero to shut down.

The news from the winreview website states that Windows 8 will have the option to run the desktop window manager using software acceleration, at least in pre-release versions. This means that even older computers with insufficient graphics acceleration can run Aero functions in a virtual environment.

The Winreview website states that in a virtual environment, the computer can run Aero functions using only software rendering and a small amount of video memory. This technique has also appeared in earlier versions of Windows Vista, but it has not appeared in the official version of Vista.

Recently, the Winreview website also pointed out that the early test version of Windows 8 has been released to major OEMs, and has been fully tested, but this rumor has not been confirmed by Microsoft.
