Use Win+R to open the “Run” window or type regedit in the “Search Bar” to open the registry.


After entering the registry, navigate to the following location:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREMicrosoftWindowsCurrentVersionAppx

Right-click Appx on the left and select Permissions


In the Permission Settings screen that opens, click on the Advanced Settings option in the above image


In the Advanced Security Settings screen, select the principal named TrustedInstaller in the permission bar, and then click the change to the right of the owner above

The username will be displayed automatically


Click OK to return to the advanced security settings screen. , you will find that the owner has become your modified username


Click Apply and OK, then return to the permission settings interface, check the full control permissions of the Administrators user group


Then return to the registry to modify the default installation location. After this modification, the application in the Win8 app store will be installed to the location you specified.

However, for an already installed Windows 8 application, an error will be displayed during the update. In this case, simply uninstall the installed application and then reinstall it.
