Win8 update KB2770917 patch failed solution

Microsoft launched a series of system update patches for the Windows 8 operating system last Tuesday. However, a patch named KB2770917 has added a lot of trouble to many users.

Recently, many foreign users posted articles on the Internet to reflect that when they install updates for win8, all the other patches except the KB2770917 patch can be installed normally, and when they try to install the KB2770917 patch multiple times. At this point, the configuration program will fail at 15% each time and perform a system rollback.

In this regard, Microsoft has not yet made a clear answer, but some netizens said in the subsequent reply that they can try the following methods to install:

1. Enter and Run the “MSCONFIG.EXE” command to open the system configuration dialog;

2. Click on the “Services” tab at the top of the dialog and check “Hide all MicROSoft services”. Box;

3. Click the “Disable all” button to disable all remaining services;

4. Restart your computer and try to install “KB2770917”; patch;

5. After the KB2770917 patch is successfully installed, follow the steps above to open the “Services” tab in the System Configuration dialog box again, and click the “All Start” button to re-enable the previously disabled service.
