Let Windows 8 weather show on calendar

Win8's own weather forecast application finally made "going out to see the sun" a history. However, fresh energy has passed, many netizens began to complain, because it is not worthwhile to watch the weather for ten seconds! What's more, the information provided by this gadget is actually the same. The so-called strips lead to Rome, today I will teach you a new way to see the weather in Win8 - view the weather through the calendar component. And there is a special advantage to doing this, that is, you can watch the weather under the Win8 lock screen.

1. First enter "https://login.live.com" in your browser and log in to your Windows Live account.

2. Then hover your mouse over "Hotmail" → "Calendar" to enter the calendar subscription page.

3. Next open a website (http://weather.raychou.com/?/list/) and find your city by searching. The last few digits in the address bar are the city code for your city, remember it!

4. Substitute the following link (http://weather.raychou.com/?/detail/city code/ical/city code.ics=) into the city code and paste it into the Windows Live calendar. Link "column", "calendar name" is free, and finally click "subscribe to calendar".

5. After a while, we will be able to see the latest weather on the Windows Live calendar page.

6. Being able to display weather in Window Live is just the beginning, and then we need to go back to the "calendar" component of Win8. You don't have to do anything here, just wait patiently for a few minutes, because Win8 will automatically synchronize the weather subscriptions in Windows Live during this time. Of course, there is a saying that you can talk about the front, that is, your Win8 must be logged in through the Windows Live account, otherwise it will be useless for another year or two!

When the sync is complete, the weather is automatically displayed to the calendar and tile surface. Of course, it has a more powerful place, which can be displayed directly on the lock screen page. If your computer does not display, it does not matter, use Win+i to enter the settings panel, open "Computer Settings" → "Personalization" → "Lock Screen", check whether the "Calendar" item has been added.
