Chapter 2 Interface
The first thing we should touch is the welcome interface of Windows 8. This welcome interface is not a simple picture display, but a comprehensive information with rich information. Information interface, where users can view the current date and time in the first time, in addition to the network connection status, wireless network signal status, several new emails, and the number of new messages received.
At the same time, this interface is also the lock screen interface of Windows 8. Of course, the basemap of this welcome screen can be changed in the "Personalization" option.

Click on the start interface to enter the Windows 8 login interface, here is a full-color green background, huge The user avatars are neatly arranged. At first glance, this login interface is a bit too simplistic. I don't know if it's because it's still in the development version.

Windows 8 uses a new desktop interface on the most user-touched desktop interface. This is called Metro's new operation interface, which uses various applications. The way the icons are superimposed, several app icons are tiled on the desktop in the form of tile tiles, and the combination of multiple colors of graphics makes the desktop look more beautiful and not messy.
The entire Metro desktop supports drag extensions, dragging to the right to extend the desktop form to show more applications.
This Metro interface design is obviously designed for the convenience of touch screen users. It is believed that users with touch screens will use this interface to be relatively cool, but users who use the mouse will have some inconvenience in designing and operating the interface. However, when the official version of Windows 8 was released, it is estimated that the touch screen will become one of the standard configurations.

Metro desktop application icons can also display different status, such as weather The app's icon dynamically displays weather conditions. Through the icon management settings, the user can manage the application icons, and can enlarge the application icons (square display) (rectangular display), uninstall the application, cancel the display on the desktop, and drag and drop the icons.

Windows 8 not only has a new Metro operation interface, but also a traditional Windows interface, this traditional interface is similar to Windows7, the same support for AERO effects, etc. Windows 7 desktop and taskbar effects and features. Compared to the Metro interface, this traditional interface is more suitable for users without touch screen.

However, the Windows 8 start menu has been reduced to five simple function buttons, "start" has been given the ability to switch to the Metro interface. The other four buttons are “Setting, Device, Share, Find”. These four buttons are automatically displayed when the cursor moves to the “Start” button (there is also a huge time and date), and I am not used to clicking. “Start” will automatically return to the Metro interface.

This kind of start menu makes users who are used to Windows XP and Windows 7 very uncomfortable, but unfortunately has not returned to the traditional start menu options.
This design allows users who are new to Windows 8 to find the shutdown button for a long time. The original shutdown option is hidden in the "Settings" of the Metro interface or the traditional interface's start menu. Click the Settings button and the right column appears. There is a power button in it.
