Win8 custom system default font method

  

Some users do not like the default font of Win8 system Microsoft Yahei, want to replace it with Song and other fonts, but do not know how to operate. The following small series tells you how to customize the default font of Win8 system.

Operation steps

In the first step, press Win+R, enter “ldedit” in the running command that appears, and press Enter.

The second step, found in the registry editor: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\\SOFTWARE\\Microsoft\\Windows NT\\CurrentVersion\\Fonts, click to select Fonts.

Then in the right window, find and double-click these three items:

Microsoft JhengHei (TrueType) & Microsoft JhengHei UI (TrueType),

Microsoft JhengHei Bold (TrueType) & Microsoft JhengHei UI Bold (TrueType),

Microsoft JhengHei Light (TrueType) & Microsoft JhengHei UI Light (TrueType).

Tips: screenshots were provided by the relevant split process, the reality is not the case.

The third step, the pop-up edit string interface, in the numerical data, fill in the font name you want to modify, such as simsun.ttc is the regular font of the Song Dynasty, STXINWEI.TTF is the Chinese New Wei regular font.

Tips: All three items must be modified in turn.

The fourth step is to restart the computer. When you restart, you will find that the font has changed. After restarting, the default fonts such as the desktop will change accordingly.
