What should I do if the UEFI install Win8 prompts for the missing media driver?

One user tried to install Win8 system in UEFI mode. He installed the U disk installation tool, but during the installation process, he suggested that the media driver required by the computer is missing, and the installation cannot continue. What should I do?

The prompt message is as follows:

Load Driver

The media driver required for your computer is missing. This could be a DVD, a USB stick or a hard drive. If you have a CD, DVD or USB flash drive containing this driver, please insert it now.

Note: If the Windows installation media is on a DVD drive or USB drive, you can safely remove it during this step.

Prior to this, the netizen has set the BIOS to UEFI boot, and created the GPT partition using the diskpart command. Click Next, but Win8.1 cannot be installed, as shown in the above figure.

Solution

The first step is to confirm that the U disk is in FAT32 format (this is a drawback of the GPT partition and only supports the FAT32 format).

The second step, re-enter the U disk PE (Win7 or higher version), the decompressed image file (must be the MSDN version of the system image), which will be Boot, efi, sources folder, and bootmgr and bootmgr Copy the .efi file to the root directory of the C drive.

The third step, restart the computer, the computer will automatically run the installer.

The above is the solution to the problem, of course, if you do not want to be so troublesome, then try to install Win8 in the virtual machine. Refer to the "Setting Method for VMware Installation Win8 System".
