How Win8 uses hosts to cancel ads for built-in apps

Win8 has many built-in applications, such as travel, readers, etc., which are convenient for us to use, so that we can use certain files at any time without downloading the software. The fly in the ointment is that these useful apps will be embedded in ads.

This reduces the purity of Win8 system, then we have to block them, Windows8 also clean the body of it.

We use the method of modifying the hosts file to achieve the purpose of blocking ads.

Use notepad (or hosts switching management software Hosts Switcher) to open the hosts file (the path is: C:\\Windows\\System32\\Drivers\\etc\\hosts). Editing the file requires administrator privileges, otherwise after editing You won't be able to save and see how to get administrator privileges. Then add the following at the following:

0.0.0.0 a.global.msads.net

0.0.0.0 ads1.msads.net

0.0.0.0 ads2.msads. Net

0.0.0.0 global.msads.net

0.0.0.0 crl.microsoft.com

0.0.0.0 rad.microsoft.com

0.0 .0.0 watson.microsoft.com

The hosts file in Win8 system, a computer file that stores information about each node in the computer network, used to supplement or replace the DNS function in the network. Unlike DNS, users can directly control the hosts file. If you are overwhelmed with the ads of the Win8 built-in application, quickly use the hosts to block it.
