How to access OneDrive offline under Win8.1 system

OneDrive in Win8.1 supports offline use, which is to access and process files in OneDrive while offline. We can access and process these files offline through the File Explorer or through the OneDrive app.

Using File Explorer to access files offline

Long press or right-click the file and select “Allow offline use”. To be able to access the entire OneDrive while offline, long press or right-click OneDrive in the left pane and select “Allow offline use”.

Working with Files Offline Using the OneDrive App

Swipe down or right-click on a file or folder to select it, then tap or click “Offline”. If you're worried about taking up too much computer space, you can work with a few files offline; or, if you have files that you no longer need to use offline, just bring them back online.

If you have enough computer space, you can use the entire OneDrive offline:

1. Swipe in from the right edge of the screen and click “Set”. If you are using a mouse, you can move the mouse to the lower right corner of the screen and move up, click the “Set” button.

2. Tap or click & ldquo; & rdquo ;, then enable the option to & ldquo; offline access to all files & rdquo ;.

OneDrive offline access and process documents have clear benefits, especially for a business trip and no way to connect the family office network, this feature is very useful. We process the file offline and it will automatically sync when it is networked.
