Due to work needs, the IP address is changed frequently on Windows 8.1 systems. It has recently been discovered that every time you attempt to change the system ip address, the message “com surrogate has stopped working” will appear and the Network and Sharing Center will be unavailable. ? The problem how to solve it

Solution:

First, re-install the graphics driver

to Control Panel, Programs and Features, uninstall graphics driver, Restart the computer, update and install the graphics driver through Windows update. After completing the computer, please restart the computer to confirm the problem.

Second, set NVIDIA control panel

Open NVIDIA control panel---Manage 3D settings---Global settings---Preferred graphics processor---Select“High-performance NVIDIA processing





Apply, please confirm the problem again after completion.

Third, the application of interference problems

The cause of this problem may also be due to the installation of some software (Nero /Storm Video /Kmplayer and other software) COM components are not fully compatible with the current System, you can try to uninstall the above software or upgrade them to the latest version.

If the problem persists, please try the following steps:

1. Click the “Start-Run” command, enter “ldsvr32%windir%system32/vbscript.dll” and press Enter. At this point, the system will pop up a dialog box prompting "Dll-Registerserver in C:windows/ststem32/vbscript.dll has been successful".

2. Open “Computer-Tools-Folder Options-View, Try to check or cancel “Always show icons, Never show thumbnails, and finally click “OK”.

Also try to repair the system file:

Click the Start menu, type: cmd in the search box, then right click on cmd, run as administrator, type: sfc/scannow, Press the Enter key to scan and repair the system files.
