Windows 8 Control Panel disappears, how to solve?

In fact, this is an old problem. Some time ago, there were also friends who had asked for help on this issue. The solution given at that time was not too detailed. Today, the system family Xiaobian also encountered the same problem, and finally solved it perfectly. Now, share my solution with everyone.

In the morning, I suddenly found out that the Control Panel of the metro interface disappeared. I don’t know when it disappeared. I don’t know why it disappeared. In retrospect, it’s probably the reason that I used an optimization software a few days ago. Remind everyone that the current optimization software is not perfect for Windows8 support, try not to use it.

The Control Panel panel of the Metro interface disappears. We must find a way to get back. As we said before, the Metro interface shortcuts exist in the X:ProgramDataMicrosoftWindowsStart MenuPrograms folder (X is the system drive letter), hidden folders, need to be set to display. After the Control Panel disappears, its shortcut will disappear from the folder. All we have to do is get this shortcut back. At this time, some members will say, create a new shortcut, yes, this Is a good way, this method we also introduced in the previous post, today we do not use this method, we use the Windows8 search function to find the Control Panel shortcut, the operation is very simple, open the system disk, my is C drive, enter Control Panel in the search box, and wait for its search to complete.

In the search results, there are four Control Panel and one Immersive Control Panel shortcuts. Let's copy any of the four Control Panel shortcuts to X:ProgramDataMicrosoftWindowsStart MenuPrograms. Then look at the Metro interface. Is the Control Panel icon appearing? But our purpose is not here. The purpose of this step is to let everyone understand one thing. The shortcut can be found by searching and copying to the above folder.

Next we copy the shortcut of the Immersive Control Panel (this is the shortcut we are looking for & ldquo; immersive control panel) to the above folder, then return to metro, Control The Panel is back and can be used normally after testing.
