Win8 how to delete the MSI temporary decompression directory and compress the Installer folder

  

First, delete the $PatchCache$ folder

1, $PatchCache$ is the system hidden file, you need to display it first, as shown in Figure:

2, then you can delete the $PatchCache$ folder, if prompted permission issues, please get Win8 super administrator privileges.

PS: Note, do not delete other folders in the Installer directory, otherwise the related software will not be uninstalled.

Second, compress the Installer folder

1, below we compress the Installer folder to save disk space, because the folder is stored in the software redundant information, not Read frequently, so there is no system performance after compression.

2. Right-click on the Installer folder and select “Properties" to open the “Installer Properties” window. Figure:

3. Click the “Advanced” button at the bottom right of the "General" tab to open the “Advanced Properties window. Check the following "Compress content to save disk space", OK.

After deleting the MPI temporary decompression directory $PatchCache$ folder file, and compressing the Installer folder, the two steps can simultaneously release more space for the Win8 system to run quickly.
