How to restore the IE icon to the desktop after the Win8/8.1 system is installed?

Method 1: Restore the IE icon to the taskbar

Steps:

Left click on the icon in the lower left corner with 4 small squares;

at the beginning of the opening Window, we left click on the down arrow with a small circle in the lower left corner;

In the application window, we right click: Inetrnet Explorer, left click in the right click menu: fixed to the taskbar (K) ;

Back to the desktop, we can see that the IE icon is already displayed in the taskbar.

Method 2: Create a desktop IE icon shortcut

Steps:

Right-click on the blank space on the desktop and left-click on the right-click menu: New (W) - Shortcut (S);

In the Create Shortcut window, we click: Browse;

In the Browse Files or Folders window, click: This Computer - Win8.1(C:) - Program Files - Inetrnet Explorer - iexplore.exe, then click: OK;

Go back to the Create Shortcut window and click: Next;

In the name field of the typing shortcut we enter: Inetrnet Explorer , then click: Finish;

Click on the "display desktop" in the lower right corner to see the IE icon on the desktop.
