How does Win8 use the VHD function to create a virtual hard disk?

Win8 system has added a lot of functions, one of which is VHD function, which can help users to virtualize a hard disk, and only need to save private things in this virtual hard disk, and also achieve the purpose of "encryption" So how do we create a virtual hard disk using the VHD feature?

First, load the disk volume. In the Windows 8 "Start" interface, click the "Desktop" icon to enter the desktop environment. Then move the cursor to the lower left corner of the desktop taskbar, pop up the “Start” icon, right click on the icon, and click “Disk Management” in the pop-up menu (see Figure 1). Open the “Computer Management” program. Next, click on "Disk Management" in the frame on the left side of the window. After that, all the disk volumes will be loaded under the right frame of the window.

Second, create a VHD virtual hard disk. Open the “Computer Management” program, right-click on the “Disk Management” icon in the left frame of the window, click “Create VHD” menu (see Figure 2), open “Create and Attach Virtual Hard Disk” & rdquo; Dialog. Then, click the “Browse” button under the dialog box to select the location of the virtual hard disk (here, select the file path as “E: Image Library”, the file name is ““123456”), click ““ After saving the ” button, return to the previous dialog box, “Virtual Hard Disk Size” can be set as desired. As long as it is not larger than the available space of the disk partition, it is set to “10000” for its own needs. Then select the “virtual hard disk format” below the “virtual hard disk format” and “fixed size”, so that the space of the virtual hard disk can be kept unchanged. Click the “OK” button to complete the creation (see Figure 3). .

Again, attach a virtual hard disk (loading virtual files). Double-click on the desktop & computer”, then open the "New Volume (E:) & Rarr; Image Library" window. Right-click on the “123456” file icon (that is, the VHD image file you just created) and click the “Load” menu to load the file. Open the "computer" on the desktop again, there is no virtual hard disk icon, you need to initialize the virtual hard disk.

Finally, initialize the disk. In the “Computer Management” window, right-click the “Disk Management” icon on the left side of the frame, right-click on the “Disk 2” icon at the bottom of the window, and click “Initialize Disk” in the pop-up menu. ; (see Figure 4), open the "Initialize Disk" dialog box. Next, tick "Select Disk" under "Select Disk" and select "MBR (Master Boot Record)". Click the “OK" button to open the “New Simple Volume Wizard” dialog box. After continuing to click the & Nextquo; Next" button, the “Specify Volume Size” dialog box appears. Enter the size of the new volume after "Simple Volume Size", enter "ldld;9997". Next, click the “Next” button, under the “Assign Drive Letters and Paths” dialog box, click “ Assign the following actuator number (A) & rdquo;, automatically assign a “G:” plate.
