How to make Win8 one key recovery function

Win8 system is very stable, but we can't completely avoid the system problem, so it is imperative to create a Win8 system-specific one-click recovery function. I believe that many friends want to ask this one-button recovery function. Do you build it? Is it effective? Here, please rest assured that the one-click recovery function that the tutorial is going to say today is very simple. It can be easily created with a one-click recovery tool and a series of related tools, and the effect is obvious.

Since the notebook computer has been quite popular, the method of this tutorial mainly focuses on the notebook, which is suitable for the recovery of Win8 single system, not suitable for Win7+Win8 dual system. This method works for all notebooks except Dell.

There are many tools and steps involved in this article, but if you follow the steps strictly, you will be successful (PC manufacturers also use a similar method to make a one-click recovery function at the factory). Here is a simple outline of the operation process, so that everyone can clear the way.

We will use the Lenovo computer as an example: first create a larger capacity hidden partition (also known as OEM partition), and then use the Ghost tool to prepare the Lenovo one-click recovery tool file (lenovo.GHO) Release to the OEM partition, ensure that the OEM partition is the main partition and hide it, then use the BOOTICE tool to make Win8 one-key recovery function. After the production is finished, press the F9 or F10 key to enter the Lenovo one-key recovery interface.

DiskGenius Partition Software (3.94 MB)

Lenovo OneKey Recovery 7.2 (273 MB)

Partid Partition Markup Tool ( 37KB)

WinPE U disk boot production tool (290MB)

WinPE system image file (44MB)

BOOTICE boot sector maintenance tool (142KB)

Step 1: Prepare to hide the partition

Focus on this step: Prepare a hard disk partition with sufficient capacity using DiskGenius software

To make Win8 one-click recovery, you must have a hidden enough capacity. Partition. If the book does not have a hidden partition, you must create one manually. For Win7 books with hidden partitions, since the default hidden partition capacity is only 15GB, and the capacity after Win8 installation is greater than 15GB, you must expand the hidden partition to 30GB or higher. The operation steps are as follows:

Run the DiskGenius partition software. If your notebook is pre-installed with a restore system, you can see the OEM hidden partition (the hidden partition capacity of most brand notebooks is 15GB). Right click on another spare partition, select “ split partition & rdquo; (Figure 1), enter a capacity (for example, 15GB) in the space behind the partition, and then select “ merge to OEM partition ” Expand the hidden partition to 30GB. Need to remind everyone that it is best to clear the data in these two partitions before the merger, otherwise the partition consolidation operation will take a very long time.

If the notebook does not have a hidden partition at the factory, you can use DiskGenius to create a new partition with a capacity of 30GB, as shown in Figure 2. Select New partition. Click the “Start” button, follow the prompts, and restart the system after the conversion is complete.

Step 2: Make a partition file

This step focuses on using Ghost to release the Lenovo OneKey Recovery tool to the partition, and use DiskGenius to convert the partition to the main partition and hide it at the same time

First, you must first create a WinPE boot USB flash drive by inserting the USB flash drive into the USB interface, then running the WinPE USB flash drive to start the production tool, selecting the USB flash drive device and then selecting the USB-HDD mode, click “ The key is made into a USB boot disk button, and then it can be created according to the prompt. After the production is completed, copy the WinPE system image file to the root directory of the U disk. Next download Lenovo OneKey Recovery 7.2 version, extract a lenovo.GHO file, then we need to release the lenovo.GHO one-click recovery tool installation file to the OEM partition.

Insert the USB flash drive and restart the notebook. Follow the prompts to enter the WinPE system. Before booting into WinPE with a USB flash drive, you need to adjust the boot order of the notebook's USB flash drive. Take the author's Lenovo book as an example. Press F2 to enter the BIOS setup interface when booting, switch to the “Boot Manager” interface, set the USB flash drive to the first boot sequence, and then press F10 to save and exit. Execute the Ghost tool in the system, select “Local”→“Partition”→“From Image” in the interface, select lenovo.GHO in the pop-up window, and release the lenovo.GHO file to the OEM by using the recovery operation. In the partition (Figure 3).

Take out the USB flash drive and restart the notebook, switch to Win8 system. Run DiskGenius partition software again, right click on the new OEM partition and select “Convert to primary partition” (see Figure 4). Exit DiskGenius and run the Partid partition tag modification tool. After selecting the OEM partition, change the "partition tag" to 12 (see Figure 5), thus hiding the newly created OEM partition.

Step 3: Make a key recovery

This step focuses on: Using the BOOTICE tool to install and configure hidden partitions, and finally achieve one-click recovery.

Some old books exist in Win8. Compatibility issues, you need to enter the BIOS to adjust the relevant options before making a one-click recovery. The method of judging is to enter the BIOS setting interface. If there is a related serial number option in the Information interface (as shown in Figure 6), you must switch to the “Boot” option page, and the option on the right side of “Boot Mode” Change from “legacy Support” to “UFEI” (Figure 7), and set “external device” to “Enabled” state, then press F10 to save and exit. If there is no such option, there is no Win8 compatibility issue, continue with the steps below.

Log in to the Win8 system, execute the BOOTICE boot sector maintenance tool, click the “Master Boot Record” button (Figure 8), click the “Restore MBR” button, and select F9_MBR.BIN or F10MBR. .BIN file, close the software and re-open it, click the “Partition Boot Record” button, select the OEM partition created in the “Target Partition” and select “BOOTMGR Bootloader (FAT/FAT32/NTFS)” ; button, click “ Install /Configure & rdquo;

After rebooting the system, the PRESS or PRESS TO RUN RECOVERY prompt will appear on the startup screen. Press F9 or F10 to log in to the Lenovo OneKey Recovery interface (Figure 9). At this point, enter “System Backup”. ; Option, manually back up the Win8 system according to the prompts. In the future, if there is a problem in the system, just press the F9 or F10 button after booting to enter the one-click recovery interface, select the “System Recovery” option, and you can easily achieve Win8 one-key recovery according to the prompt.

About the operation method of making Win8 one-key recovery function, I will share it with you here. Have you learned it? Just follow the above steps, and the rest of the key recovery is very familiar to everyone. In the future, when our system has various problems, we can use the one-click recovery function to restore the system to its original state. This not only avoids the trouble of reinstalling due to system crash, but also makes important files for the computer. An insurance.
