Win8 system configuration requirements diagram

Many children's shoes want to install Win8 system for their old computer. It is hard to know whether the hardware configuration meets the requirements. In fact, the minimum configuration requirement of Win8 system is not very high. If your computer meets the configuration requirements of the following figure, install Win8. The system is stress free.

However, if you want to run Win8 system smoothly, you need more memory and hard disk storage space. The following small series will bring you more detailed Win8 system configuration requirements.

If you want to run Win8 on your computer, you must meet the following conditions:

1. Processor: 1GHz or faster (supports PAE, NX and SSE2);

2 Memory: 1GB (32 bit) or 2GB (64 bit);

3. Hard disk space: 16GB (32 bit) or 20GB (64 bit);

4. Graphics card: with Microsoft DirectX9 graphics device with WDDM driver;

If you want to run Win8.1 on your computer, you must meet the following conditions:

1. Processor: 1GHz or faster (supports PAE, NX And SSE2);

2. Memory: 1GB (32 bit) or 2GB (64 bit);

3. Hard disk space: 16GB (32 bit) or 20GB (64 bit); Br>

4. Graphics Card: Microsoft DirectX9 Graphics Device with WDDM Driver;

What is PAE, NX and SSE2:

Physical Address Extension (PAE), NX Processor Bit (NX) and Streaming SIMD Extension 2 (SSE2) are processor functions that are required to run the Win8.1 system.

1. PAE enables 32-bit processors to use more than 4 GB of physical memory on Windows versions with the appropriate capabilities, a prerequisite for using NX.

2.NX helps processors protect their computers from malware.

3.SSE2 is a set of standard instructions for processors used by more and more third-party applications and drivers.
