Upgrade Win8 Pro to 8.1 through the Store app store. After the download is complete, go to the last step & lsquo; Ready to restart & rsquo;, & squo; error 0x80004005 & rsquo;, as shown in the figure:

Cause analysis :

Microsoft pointed out that if some dynamic link library files (.dll files) are not properly registered, or if there is a firewall between the computer and the Internet that does not allow HTTPS (SSL) connections, error 0x80004005 may occur.

Solution:

You can use the regsvr32 command to register several .dll files:

1.Win+X key combination, select “ command run character (administrator identity) ” ;

2. At the "command runner", type the following commands and press Enter:

regsvr32 Softpub.dll

regsvr32 Wintrust. Dll

regsvr32 Initpki.dll

3. Click “OK”;

4. Restart the computer and re-upgrade Win8.1. Solve these error code issues.
