Windows 8.1 will "say" more than 7,000 words

Windows systems have become more and more supportive of multi-language support. The latest official statement is that Windows 8.1 can support more than 7,000 different languages around the world. Basically, as long as you are talking about "People's words", Windows can "listen". Windows now offers up to 108 language packs, both of which can be installed and uninstalled separately, as well as 202 keyboard layouts, allowing users to enter text in over 7,000 languages.

You may suspect that there are so many languages on the planet? There are indeed, because many languages have no text and cannot be written. For example, English, French, and Spanish all use Latin letters, but there are hundreds of languages that don't have their own text system at all, so with more than 50 sets of main text, Windows can support so many languages.

To be precise, Windows has enabled 98% of the world's population to enter text in at least one way, and the remaining 2% can be created if they are interested.

Because there are no standard solutions for some keyboard layouts, Microsoft deliberately made some designs for them, such as "Sora" (Sola), "Gothic" (Gothic).

Moreover, Windows is the only operating system that supports Chinese Xishuangbanna Dai language and other languages. It is fine to display and input text.

In addition, Windows 8.1 also enhances user control over language and input methods, and supports changing the default keyboard layout for each application. The window sets different input methods, uses different desktop language bars, and more.

Microsoft said it will continue to let Windows learn more languages.
