How to use a third-party provider mailbox in the Windows 8 mail app

  
                                    

We can use the mail function that comes with the Windows 8 system to allow third-party mailboxes (such as QQ, 126, and 163) that we usually use to send and receive emails without going through the webpage. Is it convenient?

First open the "mail" program on the start screen;

If we need to use a non-Microsoft mailbox (such as 126, 163), we also need to bind first. A Microsoft mailbox (Live, outlook), the following picture first login Microsoft mailbox;

After successful login, under the mailbox application, the mouse moves to the lower right corner or the upper right corner to open the super menu, then select “ ”;

Select “Account”;

Click “Add Account";

We can see that the program has preset some mailboxes for us. You can click to select and use, or select “other accounts" to manually add;

After selecting “other accounts”, the following interface will pop up, please follow the email you want to bind. The actual situation selection type, please consult your e-mail provider, this example is set by IMAP type;

We click “show details”;

Set your e-mail as shown below Address, login name Password, IMAP (receive) and SMTP (send) mailbox server address, if you need SSL secure connection, you can also check according to the actual situation, after input, click & ldquo; connection & rdquo;;

Note: Please check with your email provider for the detailed address and port number of the IMAP and SMTP servers.

If the settings are correct, you will be able to connect successfully after a while. After connecting, we can manually open “Settings-Accounts Click on the three-party mailbox we just created to make some settings;

At this point, you can use the system's own "mail" application to send and receive mail in other mailboxes, and you do not need to log in to the webpage, it is very convenient in some environments.
