Windows 8's shutdown button is more subtle, and many new users feel inconvenient. In fact, Windows 8.1 supports a faster "sliding shutdown" function. The user does not need to take a few more steps to go to the Charm bar and click on the new "Start" to shut down smoothly.

A software called ""Slidetoshutdown.exe" is built into Windows 8.1. The user simply drags the lock screen down (active dragging with the mouse) to perform a shutdown operation - similar to the operation on Windows Phone.

Method 1: Although the sliding shutdown option is not activated by default, you can simply "call" & even create a shortcut.

Run the program

1. Go to "Run"(WinKey+R);

2. Enter "slidetoshutdown.exe";

3, click "OK";

4, the shutdown interface appears, drag down, you can close Windows.

Method 2: If you do not want to type every time, the user can also Slidetoshutdown.exe creates a shortcut, Slidetoshutdown.exe is located in the System32 folder, after finding the program, right click and create "shortcut".
