How to view the Metro application installation location under Windows 8?

  

Under Win8, the newly added Metro application can only be installed on the system disk by default, which will cause the system to be bloated, and it cannot be seen in the “Control Panel”, “--&"Programs and Features> Program and its size.

How to view Metro application size:

Win+C opens Charm (multi-button), select “Set”, select “Change PC settings in the lower right corner, select &ldquo ;General”, find the "Apply Size" under "Available Storage".

How to view the Metro application installation location:

Method one:

The Metro application is installed under “%systemRoot%Program FilesWindowsApps(hidden folder)” Open the need to add an account to seize permissions.

Right click on the “WindowsApps” folder, select “properties", select “Security" menu, click “edit”

Add “everyone`” account : Enter “everyone” in the input box, click “check name”, as shown in the figure, underline, click OK.

Open the “WindowsApps” folder.

After the file is opened, the file name is chaotic. For example, the folder name of "Renren" is:

If you need to locate in which folder, you can open this application first, then open “task manager”, find the running program, right click "properties".

You can see the folder name in the regular, (under the premise of obtaining permission, right click to select “ open file location & rdquo;, you can also open the location).

Method 2:

Or you can open “Windows PowerShell" in all programs", enter “Get-AppxPackage”, you can view all programs under the Metro interface. Version information, folder location, etc.

Find the name of the program (Name), “PackageFullName” is the folder where the corresponding program is located. In addition, you can see the version of the program.
