How do I use favorites in IE10?

Using IE Favorites in Windows 8 Consumer Preview is different from using previous versions of traditional favorites. You can lock your site to the start screen or use the “New Tab" to open a list of locked sites and frequently visited sites.

The IE10 browser on the desktop uses traditional favorites, but you can't access locked sites from the start screen.

How do I use Compatibility View in IE10?

To display a website in "Compatibility View", open Internet Explorer on your desktop and click in the address bar Compatibility view button.

I can't play Flash content or install Flash add-ons in IE10?

It supports HTML5 playback video, but you can't install add-ons in IE10.

To install add-ons or view things like Flash, open IE10 on your desktop, open “set"" personality classification from IE10, and use the desktop.

Can't find the IE10 image on the start screen, how can I retrieve it?

Internet Explorer may be accidentally unlocked, you can use the following steps to lock it to the start screen:

1. From the Start screen, type <Internet Explorer".

2. In the search results, right click on "Internet Explorer", then click “ Attach to ‘Start & rsquo;Menu”.

If you're using touch, swipe down on the Internet Explorer icon, then tap “ Attach to ‘Start & rsquo;Menu”.

If you set a browser other than IE10 as your default browser, the IE10 image will not be displayed on the &Startquo;Start" screen. To restore this image, you need to first set IE10 as the default browser. The steps are as follows:

1. Press the Windows logo key + C key on the keyboard, click Search, type “ default program & rdquo; and select “ Application & rdquo; filter.

2. Click “Default Program” in the search results.

3. Click “Set your default program”.

4. Select Internet Explorer from the list.

5. Select “ set this program to the default value ”, then click “OK”.

6. Close “Set default program”.

7. Use the previous steps to lock the Internet Explorer picture to the start screen.
