Win8 skills: Win 8 tablet how to set up only to identify their own U disk

Most tablets are equipped with a card reader, children can simply copy the file to the tablet or copy files from the tablet to the SD card by inserting the SD card. Inserted SD card is also a common carrier of virus infection. If you want the card reader to only recognize your own SD card, you can use Windows 8.1 group policy to control.
First insert your own SD card, right click on the desktop "Computer", select "Manage" & rdquo; in the open window to start "Device Manager", expand in the device list, then "Disk Drive & Rarr; Genric USB SA16G SD CARD”, right click and select Properties to open the settings window (Figure 3).
(Figure 3 Select the SD card to be set)
In the window that opens, switch to "Details", then select "Hardware ID" in the "Properties" drop-down list, then write down the SD The value of the card hardware ID is similar to “SD\\Gendisk”, right-click to select “copy”, paste it into Notepad and save it (Figure 4).
(Figure 4 copy SD card hardware device ID value)
Operation as above, continue to expand "Universal Serial Bus Controller & Rarr; USB COMPOSITE DEVICE" device, also copy its hardware ID value to Notepad save. Similarly, the USB HUB can be set so that only the USB flash drive can be recognized after the USB HUB is inserted.
Then start the Group Policy Editor, and then expand “Computer Configuration & Rarr; Administrative Templates & Rarr; System & Rarr; Device Installation & Rarr; Device Installation Restrictions, and the right pane is prohibited from being installed by other policies. The described device> policy is set to “enabled”. Continue to set "Allow installation of devices that match the following device IDs" to "Allow", click "Show" in the open configuration window, and then enter the SD card and USB COMPOSITE DEVICE obtained above. The hardware ID value, so the tablet can only identify its own SD card (Figure 5).
(Figure 5 set the allowed SD card hardware ID)
After the above settings, if the child inserts the SD card of their own mobile phone, because each SD card hardware ID is different, the system will refuse to identify, in the resource management The inserted SD card cannot be seen in the device. At this point, open the device manager and you can see that the SD card will appear under “Other devices”. Open the properties window and you can see that the SD card driver has not been installed due to system policy restrictions. This can effectively prevent various viruses brought by the SD card (Figure 6).
(Figure 6 The tablet will no longer recognize other SD cards after setting the group policy limit)
If you feel that the control of Group Policy is troublesome, you can also use Lenovo Port Locker (download address: http://suo.im/Ayav) Protect the USB interface with a password. After enabling Lenovo Port Locker protection on the tablet, the inserted USB device must be entered with a password (Figure 7).
