After installing Win8.1, "shutdown" and "restart" how to do

More and more netizens are upgrading their computers to Win8.1. Since it is a new system, the problem naturally comes out. In particular, some of the problems related to "power management" are even more troublesome. For example, X classmate just installed a set of Win8.1, but found that the "shutdown" button did not let the computer shut down, but turned a computer restarted N times, really let this man depressed for a long time. In fact, many times, similar problems are not necessarily the fault of Win8.1. Sometimes the errors in the settings are also the main culprit for such problems.

1. Check "Power Management"

With the increasing popularity of wireless mouse and keyboard, many students have bought this wireless keyboard and mouse that can work through WI-Fi. However, due to the wide variety of internal chips, coupled with the wonderful materials of various small cottages, it often causes the operating system to have such problems in hardware compatibility. Among them, especially in the "power management" is most prominent.

Under the <;Device Manager”→“Wireless Mouse "&rarquo;“Power Management” tab, you will see a <;Allow this device to wake the computer” option . Under normal circumstances, this option is nothing special. Checking it allows the user to wake up the sleeping computer by moving the mouse. However, if your computer has the above abnormal conditions, such as "Shutdown" and "Resume", try to close it. In many cases, you will find it is the culprit!

In addition, since the wireless mouse and keyboard set usually uses the same signal receiver, it also needs to be set in the keyboard properties at the same time. The specific steps are the same as above.

2. Check & listen to the microphone & rdquo;

This problem seems ridiculous, how can the computer shut down with the microphone? But this thing does appear on a computer next to the author. The solution is simple: right click on the small speaker icon in the system tray, then select “recording device”, finally open the microphone properties tab, cancel the <;listen">; listen to this device”check The box is fine, this setting often prevents the computer from automatically going to sleep.

3. Close "Quick Start" &

"Quick Start" is a feature added to the Win8 system. In fact, its standard title should be "mixed start" & rdquo; Hybrid Boot). When this feature is enabled, Win8.1 will only close the user session when shutting down, and write the system session to a memory image file named HiberFil.sys. The next time you turn it on, the system does not need to be started one by one, as long as It is enough to restore this memory image file back to memory. Therefore, this new hibernation function is much faster than the previous one (the traditional hibernation is to save all sessions to the hard disk, 8GB of memory actually corresponds to 8GB image files, each time you switch the machine to read and write an 8GB file, At that time … … can be imagined ~), at the same time, it is not as easy to lose power as accidental power outages like sleep.
Fig. 03 “Quick Start” is good, but not every computer can enjoy it~

However, the original intention of Hybrid Boot is good, and it is also extraordinary in actual work, but it does. It does not mean that all computers can fit this function. If your computer is too old or does not support individual hardware, there will be many unexpected problems. At this time, we may try to enter the "Control Panel" &rar;;rard; system and security & rdquo; & rarquo; & ldquo; power options & rdquo; & rarquo; & ldquo; select the power button function & rdquo; cancel & ldquo; shutdown settings & rdquo; →“Start the quick start & rdquo; checkbox (if you can't cancel, please click the "Change the currently unavailable settings" button at the top of this panel) to turn off the quick start, and the problem will be solved. .

4. Check the "Shutdown" setting

There is also an alternative problem, that is, some students are used to pressing the power button to shut down. I have to say that this is a good choice, easy to operate and more in line with traditional user thinking habits. But we should also not forget that Win8.1 can change the function of the button at any time. For example, if your system presses the switch but becomes a reboot, you may try to enter the “Control Panel” & rdquo;→<quo;Power Options&rdquo ;→“Select the function of the power button", perhaps it is here" when pressing the power button: & rdquo; is set to another option!

Computer failures vary widely, and the above enumeration does not necessarily solve all the similar problems. However, the main purpose of this article is to introduce to you the above-mentioned analysis. In today's increasingly complex hardware, many places we have not noticed may become the new "fault point". Try, it is possible to get the fault in seconds!
