Solve OneNote Screen Clip Hotkey Problem under Win8/8.1

  
        

The hotkey of the OneNote screen clip under Win8 and Win8.1 system fails for a while. The previous Win+S calls up the search function in the system default super button. How can I change it? The following operations involve registry modification. Please back up the registry before execution.

1. Press Win+R and type: regedit to open the registry editor.

2, located in the following path: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\\Software\\Microsoft\\Office\\15.0\\OneNote\\Options\\Other

(Note: This is for Office 2013, the registry key corresponds to 15.0, If it is Office 2010, navigate to 14.0; Office 2007, navigate to 12.0)

3. In the right window, right click and select New “DWORD (32-bit) value (D)”, named :<quo;ScreenClippingShortcutKey”;

4. Double-click the new key value and change it to 41. Change the shortcut key of Onenote's screenshot to: Win+A key combination, use F5 to refresh the registry and take effect.

(The same way 42 is B, 43 is C, you can set it according to your personal preferences)

5. After completing the above operations, it is recommended to restart the computer.

The latest shortcut for Onenote screenshots under Windows 8 and Windows 8.1 is Win+Shift+S.
