Free more storage space on Surface Pro: Delete Win8 Recovery Partition

1. Release the space of the system recovery tool, The easiest way to do this is to go to “Control Panel>->“Administrative Tools”->“Computer Management”-> Left & Disk Disk Management”-> Approximately 7.8 GB of recovery partition (instead of 600MB), right-click on it and select Delete Volume

In addition to removing the Microsoft-prepared recovery partitions in Surface Pro, you can also free up space by uninstalling less commonly used Windows Store apps. :

2. Then uninstall the unwanted apps on the Windows 8 start screen

For Surface Pro and Surface RT, you can also extend the storage in three ways: 1) SkyDrive cloud storage; 2) microSD, microSDHC or microSDXC memory card (currently up to 64GB); 3) USB flash drive or mobile hard drive.
