Win2000 automatically installs

While promoting the advantages of Win2000, Microsoft seems to have had a countermeasure for its long manual installation process, and designed an unattended automatic installation function (Unattended Installation of Win2000). This move has greatly saved valuable time for countless users.
While the author is out of the philosophy of lazy people, through unremitting efforts, he has made a lot of improvements to the original operation method. The process of manually inputting commands in the initial stage of installation is floppy disk booting and automatic batch file execution Freed his hands.
At present, there are two popular Win2000 installation methods: hard disk installation and CD installation. The following describes the two methods of boot floppy disk production.
1. Install from hard disk
(1) Use format A:/s to process a floppy disk under pure DOS; (2) Create file Config.sys in the disk and edit the command line: device=C :windowshimem.sys is used to load windows system information file himem.sys, so that DOS system can run smartdrv.exe (3) create file Autoexec.bat in the disk, and edit the command line: C:windowssmartdrv.exe X: I386winnt/u:i386unattend.txt /s:X:i386 /t:Z: (X disk represents the logical disk where the Win2000 installation folder I386 is located, and Z represents the logical disk where the Win2000 system is installed. Boot with this disk, After the floppy lamp goes out, remove the floppy disk.
2. Install from the CD-ROM
This method is also mentioned in the unmanned value installation instructions of Win2000. Change the name of the answer file to winnt.sif and copy it. Into a blank floppy disk, put the floppy disk and the CD into the machine during installation, and temporarily change the CMOS settings of the motherboard to be guided by the CD …… I groped and designed the floppy disk boot method:
(1 ) Use format A:/under pure DOS s handle a floppy disk; (2) copy the answer file unattend.txt into the floppy disk (in fact, it does not matter if you put this file in the ends of the earth, just set the path, let the installer find it) (3) in the floppy disk Create the file Config.sys and edit the command line: device=C:windowscommandebdoakcdrom.sys/d:mscdxxx device=C:windowshimem.sys (4) Create the file Autoexec.bat on the disk and edit the command line: C:windowscommandmscdex. Exe/d:mscdxxx C:windowssmartdrv.exe X:I386winnt/u:A:unattend.txt /s:X:i386 /t:Z: (command line in Config.sys device=C:windows commandebdoakcdrom.sys/d The command line C:windows commandmscdex.exe/d:mscdxxx in mscdxxx and Autoexec.bat is to load the optical drive under pure DOS. It is worth mentioning that in my official version of Win98 SE 4.10.2222A There is no subfolder Ebd, the file oakcdrom.sys can only be copied to the boot floppy disk, the command line in Config.sys is changed to device= oakcdrom.sys/d:mscdxxx, note: in Config.sys and Autoexec.bat Mscdx The xxx in xx can be any character, but the two must be the same.
With this disk, the floppy drive will have a second light. This is the system looking for and reading the answer file Unattend.txt in the floppy disk. Remove the floppy disk after extinguishing.
