Windows 64bit server share printer and install 32bit driver

Now many companies use printers with wired
network
connections. In order to facilitate maintenance and management, printers are usually installed on the server in Network
and then shared. .

For example, Win2008 64bit as a print server, win7 64bit/win7 32bit as a client

1, Win2008 64bit through “Control Panel>-- “Devices and Printers” -- - “Add Printers --“Add Network, Wireless or Bluetooth Printer", select “I need a printer not in this list>;-- “Add a printer using TCP/IP address or hostname ”, the device type generally selects "TCP/IP device", the host name or IP address fills in the printer IP address, the port name fills in the printer model (can also be filled), installs the printer driver, installs from disk, manually selects the printer driver , select “ replace the current driver & rdquo; (this may also be a bit different), type the printer name to fill in the company's unified name, pop-up shared printer hook, and fill in the name of the shared printer (fill in the company's unified name Name), make sure the next step is ok.

2, Open the printer property in Win2008 64bit, "Share” --- “Other drivers>, check the “x86” driver to install.

PS: When installing the driver, you may be prompted to find the ntprint.inf file in the i386 file, download the following compressed package and extract it. Select the ntprint.inf file in x86_ntprint.inf_0_none_0 to install it. May be unable to install due to compatibility issues, please find the corresponding 32-bit system in the system disk windows
/winsxs folder to find x86_ntprint.inf_31xxx……, copy the entire folder to the local system disk windows
/winsxs folder

ntprint.inf download: ntprint.inf32 bit +64 bit

3, the client can access the Win2008 64bit server share by running, or the user can also Hyperlinks, such as \\\\win2008-print\\Print-Test-01, connect directly to the printer server to install the driver.

Note: I have been unable to print to the shared server due to driver problems.
