Win10 open picture mode to change back to photo viewer

One of the most uncomfortable with Win10 is that it doesn't have a photo viewer to open the picture. The habit of many years is terrible, but when Win10 was released, there were fewer people in this area, so I couldn't find it at the moment. ; Open the image mode and change back to the photo viewer, so I used the third-party software ——XnView.

Yesterday, my friend told me that there is a way to modify the registry —— and the registry ……

It has been used for a few months and is used to XnView, so Here is just a record of the method, maybe you need it later, or other friends are also in need.

1. Open the registry

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\\SOFTWARE\\Microsoft\\Windows
Photo Viewer\\Capabilities\\FileAssociations

2. Create a new string value

  • Value name is filled: .jpg
  • Value data fill: PhotoViewer.FileAssoc.Tiff
  • Then make sure

This adds Right click jpg picture selection open mode has "photo viewer" option

    3. And so on to add .png, .gif and other image types, the value data is filled: PhotoViewer.FileAssoc.Tiff< Br>

Nexus 5X, 6P released some time ago, almost entered, but fortunately Google is out of stock, (temporary) intends to endure next year's new generation.
