Win10 shows file extensions, hidden files (including system files)

  

Win10 system hides file extensions (suffixes) by default. By default, hidden files, folders or drives are not displayed. By default, protected files are hidden. Operating system

files to make some settings and modifications to the Win10 system. So how do I get Win10 to display file extensions and hidden files? Here's how:

Check the "file extension" and “hidden items> to display file extensions and normal hidden files, folders or drives. However, you can't display the hidden operating system files. Click the “options" icon to open the “folder options“ window, and switch to the “View” tab. Figure:


Uncheck "Hold protected operating system files" in the "Advanced settings" below, and you will find the checkmark you just made. “File extensions” and “hidden items” operations can also be selected here by selecting "Show hidden files, folders or drives" and unchecking "Unlock extensions of already file types" ;to fulfill.

Last click on "Application" or "OK" to make the settings take effect. The operating system files that are now hidden are also displayed.
