The Windows 8.1 screen is lit for a while and then dark. Troubleshooting

Installing SSD today, I changed the Windows
8 Enterprise Edition to Windows
8.1 Professional Edition. At first, I found that the screen was lit for a while, and there was no control. Later, I found that the ThinkPad Fn key setting was different from my own habits. The problem of Fn was modified. But when I opened the browser, the screen was lit for a while, and it was annoying. I only saw the information modified at night.

Method 1: Modify the power option

Modify the power performance

Win+X key, click “Control panel”, find “power option”, select &ldquo "High Performance", "Change Plan Settings".

Power Options

High Performance, Change Plan Settings

Off Adaptive Brightness

Changing Advanced Power Settings

Off Adaptive Brightness

Method 2: Turn on APU+GPU and adjust graphics card switch

especially When you open the browser, there will be a new tab running, the browser will be brighter, but it will be dimmed in a while, possibly due to APU, GPU, and graphics card switching issues. I am a ThinkPad E435 with dual graphics switching and I need to set up AMD Catalyst.

Adjust performance

Enable AMD RDG

Switch global settings of graphics card to enable optimal performance

Switchable graphics application settings, select high performance for darkening and brightening programs
