How to quickly remove the Windows 8 system C drive Windows.old file

8 is released to the present, many users have upgraded to Windows
8. In order to crack down on piracy, Microsoft did not release the physical CD version of Windows
8. They are all upgraded to Windows
8 by means of networked digital push. In this way, the C disk is swollen, especially the system used in the C disk. So how do we delete the previous windows files of the C drive?

Operation steps

1. After upgrading to Windows8 through the network push method, it is found that the C drive is extremely large, and there are actually more than 40 G.


2. Open the C drive and find a more windows.old folder. This folder is the windows system file before the upgrade.


3. After the upgrade, we can delete this file to slim down the C drive. The method is to right click on the C drive --> properties, select “ Disk Cleanup & rdquo;.


4. In the pop-up "C: Disk Cleanup" dialog box, select “Clean System Files”.


5. In the new pop-up "C: Disk Cleanup" dialog box, check the "Previous Windows Installation".


6. Click OK. A dialog box for confirming the deletion will pop up. Click to delete the file.
