Teach you to restore the Windows 8 start menu bar to the classic style

From the Windows
8 consumer preview release until now, users who are used to the start menu are hard to get used to the system Metro, especially with the Aero interface Switching back and forth looks awkward, users need some time to adapt, currently Windows
8 or experience version, many functions are still in the test phase, if the user feels that the start menu style is too monotonous and can not switch other styles. Today, I teach everyone to change to the classic start menu through the registry.

Operation steps

Press Win+R on the keyboard and enter regedit to open the registry.

In the registry, find HKEY_CURRENT_USER\\Software\\Microsoft\\Windows\\CurrentVersion\\Explorer to set the RPEnabled value and change the value data 1 to 0.

After rebooting the computer
, look at the effect of the modified classic start menu.

Note: If you are installing the Windows 8 Consumer Preview and can't find the RPEnabled value in this table, then we can do a registry import.

Copy the following code into Notepad and save the suffix to .reg.

Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\\Software\\Microsoft\\Windows\\CurrentVersion\\Explorer]

"RPEnabled"=dword:00000000
