Win7 bug: Solid color background causes boot for 30 seconds

Windows
7 has built-in automatic wallpaper replacement function, which makes many people have the desire to change wallpapers frequently, but some people are not interested in this, the reason is very simple, use computer< When you are br>, you will not see the desktop. For these users, Microsoft gave them a set of "solid color" background instead of wallpaper, just select "ldquo; solid color" in the image location of "Personalization & mdash; — desktop background", and then choose One color is fine.

However, this approach has brought an unexpected "adverse effect", which is likely to cause Windows 7 to increase the time by 30 seconds in each startup: when the system starts, welcome The screen will appear 30 seconds later than normal. This is not an individual phenomenon, but a bug that exists in Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2. There are also records on this issue in Microsoft Help and Support: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/977346< Br>

It's also very easy to avoid this bug, as long as you don't use a solid background. But if you have to use this kind of solid color as the background and don't want to spend 30 seconds to start up, there is actually a way. Microsoft gives two suggestions:

1, first make a picture and display The image with the resolution matching, then fill it with the solid color you want, and finally set this image as wallpaper. It doesn't matter if you can't figure out the resolution. It's a solid color. When you set it as a wallpaper, you can use the “tiling” method.

2, modify the registry, after using this trick, you can directly choose the solid color background that Windows 7 comes with, without having to do it yourself.

In the Start menu search box, type “regedit”, press Enter to open the Registry Editor;

Locate to: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\\SOFTWARE\\Microsoft\\Windows\\CurrentVersion\\Policies\\System;

Double-click the DelayedDesktopSwitchTimeout registry entry, type 5 in the Value data box, and then confirm to quit Registry Editor.
