Win10 Mobile Redstone 3 supports x86 emulator

One of the features of Win10 is Continuum, a feature that lets phones be used like computers. According to Microsoft observer Mary Jo Foley, Win10 Mobile Redstone 3 will add support for the x86 program simulator, which will add a lot of power to Continuum.

After adding the support of the traditional x86 program simulator, the ARM64 mobile phone chip will show more powerful functions, making the Windows 10 mobile phone of the main office more personalized. According to Microsoft's famous Iron Powder WalkingCat on Twitter, the Win10 version of the x86 program simulator running on the mobile phone is codenamed “CPHE”, where “"C” represents “Cobalt”, which is the mobile phone running x86 program simulator. Function code; “HP” may represent devices such as HP Elite x3; “E” represents “emulation” simulator.

Since HP is mentioned, this may indicate that the position of the vendor in Microsoft's Win10 mobile phone business will be of great importance in the future, at least in conjunction with Microsoft's completion of RS3's Win10 mobile phone R&D. In addition, the high-profile Surface Phone should also get this powerful skill, let the 32-bit desktop program run on the phone.

According to Microsoft's arrangement, Win10 Redstone 3 will be released in the fall of 2017, when the Win10 mobile phone system should be ready for the birth of Surface Phone.
