Recently, an xp system user feedback to reset the router, set the account and password. However, the computer starts up in the lower right corner and prompts that the local connection is connected, but cannot connect to the Internet. The connection VPN prompts “Opening the port … error 633: The modem (or other connected device) is already in use, or is not properly configured”. What should I do? Solution:
1, while pressing Win + R key combination (Win Microsoft icon next to the Alt key), the input operation regedit.exe window, click OK;
2, Click on the left side of the registry: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\\SYSTEM\\CurrentControlSet\\Services\\Tcpip\\Parameters;
3, select Parameters, click on the menu above “ Edit & rdquo;, create a new "multi-string value" project and then named ReservedPorts;

4, double-click create the & ldquo; ReservedPorts & rdquo ;, the & ldquo; numerical data & rdquo; in 1723-1723 input, click OK, and then close the registry editor;

5, press Win + R key combination, enter cmd.exe in the run, enter netstat -aon in the command prompt window and press Enter to find out the program that occupies TCP 1723 port, and then use the taskkill /PID PID /F command to force the end of the process;

6, enter the exit command carriage return, quit the command prompt, restart the computer. If there is no accident, you can connect to the VPN.
