How to set the network interface hops to improve the Internet speed?

My computer is installed with Windows10 system, the network is telecommunications 20M, today I tried to modify the network interface hops. After the modification, the network speed has increased, no Dare to conceal, specifically summarized as follows, for friends to refer to.

The meaning of hops and hops:

hop: routing, a route is a hop. The transmission process needs to go through multiple networks, and each network device point that is passed through (capable of routing) is called a hop, and the address is the route ip.

The number of hops: is the accumulator of how many hops have passed, in order to prevent useless packets from spreading on the Internet. An integer value (range 1 to 9999) that specifies the number of hops required for the route. It is used to select the route that best matches the destination address in the forwarding packet among multiple routes in the routing table. The route selected has the fewest number of hops. The number of hops reflects the number of hops, the speed of the path, path reliability, path throughput, and management attributes.

Adjust the Win10 system's network interface hops and speed up the Internet. Before adjusting the network interface hops, the network speed is 2812KB/sec, which is about 22.5M broadband.

1. Right click on the network icon in the lower right corner of the system desktop - open Network and Sharing Center,

3. In the Open Network Sharing Center window, click on the left side of the window. [Change Adapter Settings];

4. In the Network Connections window, right click: WLAN (Wireless Network), click on the right-click menu: Properties;

5 In the WLAN Properties window that opens, click: Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/Pv4) - Properties;

6. In the Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/Pv4) Properties window, click: Advanced;

7. In the advanced TCP/IP settings window that opens, we see that the number of network interface hops is [automatic hop], click to remove the checkmark from the previous check box;
< Br>

8. After clicking and unchecking, enter: 10 (the number of hops is 10, the network connection speed is greater than 200MB) in the interface hop count (N) field, click: OK;

9. Go back to the Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/Pv4) Properties window and click: OK (must click OK, otherwise the settings are invalid);

10, return to the WLAN Properties window, click: CloseThe WLAN wireless network interface hop count setting is completed.

11. According to the above method, the number of interface hops of the Ethernet is also set to 10.

Note: WLAN and Ethernet must be set to the same hop number to speed up the network speed

12. After setting the network interface hops of WLAN and Ethernet, Let's test the network speed again. The network speed is 3671KB/sec, which is about 28.7M broadband.

It can be seen that modifying the network interface hops of the system can speed up the network speed, and the method is for reference by friends.
