How to re-establish extended partitions for win7 system hard disk (unallocated disk)?

When many friends open disk management, they found that there is more "unallocated" or "free space" on the disk. But when I open my computer, I don't have such a disk. What caused it in the end? In fact, this is the result of the unfinished business of the small partners. At this time, if we create a new partition, the main partition is established, then how do we re-establish the extended partition? According to my own experience, Xiaobian said that he has established an extended partition for the Windows 7 system hard disk [unallocated] space, I hope to help friends!

Xiaobian reminds everyone to do a good job of backing up important data of the computer!

Methods/Steps

1, we click the right mouse button on the desktop & computer” icon to select management! Open the Computer Management window and find Disk Management! Everyone saw that the computer of Xiaobian was the main partition except the C drive, and the remaining space became unallocated space!

2, we are now creating partitions in unallocated space. Let's see how it works! We right click on the unallocated space and select New Simple Volume! We are now building a new 50G D drive, and everyone will see the final result!

3. After the above steps, create a new 50G D partition, you can see that the newly created D is a primary partition. !

4, how do we make the newly created partitions logical partitions? Xiaobian to tell everyone about the specific method, we now delete the D disk, right click on the D disk, and then delete the volume!

5. Now open the Start menu, enter the command "CMD" in the search box at the bottom, and then run the cmd.exe program!

6. After running the command window, we enter the command <;diskpart” Enter!

7, then we enter select disk 0 after DISKPART> Select our hard drive, then press Enter! Of course, if you have several hard drives on your computer, you can type select disk X, X represents your hard drive is usually the number 0, 1, 2, 3, 4 and so on! However, the general computer has only one hard disk, we can enter 0!

8, then we enter the command <;create partition extended” create an extended partition, and then press Enter! In this way, the system will automatically divide the remaining space after the primary partition into extended partitions!

9. After the above method, let's take a look at our disk management! We found that our [unallocated space] became available and the color changed!

10. Now use the above method to re-create the D drive. We click the right mouse button on the available space and create a new volume!

11, the intermediate process is omitted, we also build a 50G D drive, we found that our D drive eventually became a logical partition instead of the main partition!

The above is the win7 system hard disk (unallocated disk) how to re-establish the extended partition method, the operation is very simple, everyone learned? I hope this tutorial will help everyone!
