How does Win10 system verify system files? Win10 file signature verification method

File signature is to ensure that the source of the file is reliable, complete, and not modified. Once the file has been changed, signature verification will fail. Therefore, when there is an operational failure in the system, for those important system files or drivers, we often need to re-verify their signatures to ensure that the files have not been maliciously modified or replaced.

1. First, press the shortcut key Win+R, enter sigverif in the pop-up window, and then click “OK”.

2, at this time, a "File Signature Verification" dialog box will pop up.

3. Click on the “Start” button to digitally verify the key files in the system.

4. Wait a moment, after the verification is completed, the scan results will be given.

5 Of course, if you want to see the details of the file verification, you can click the “Advanced” button.

6. Click on the “View” button.

7 At this point, the verification log will be opened with a list of scanned files and scan results.

Note: This method also applies to Windows 8.1.
