Microsoft reiterates the privacy policy of the Win10 system: not scanning sensitive data of users

  

Microsoft Windows team member Terry Myerson today reaffirmed the Win10 system's privacy policy to users in a blog post to eliminate user bias against Windows 10.

Microsoft affirms the two principles of Win10 system regarding user privacy:

1, Microsoft will collect some data through Win10, in order to provide users with a better experience;

2. Users can control which data will be collected by the system.

Microsoft explained the privacy policy of Win10 system in three points:

1. Collecting data improvement products

Microsoft will collect some limited data through Win10. Provide users with a safer and more reliable user experience. This data includes the user's anonymous device ID, device type, and application crash data that Microsoft and its developer partners use to continuously improve the stability of the application.

2. Collecting data to provide personalized Windows

Microsoft will provide a personalized Windows experience based on user input, which can be controlled by this part of the data;

3 Do not scan personal sensitive data of users

Microsoft claims that unlike other platform operating systems, Win10 and other Microsoft products do not scan users for pushing personalized advertisements, no matter how users choose privacy settings. Email content, conversation content, and user's personal files.
