Microsoft: Win10 new Edge browser will support WebM format

WebM is a free HTML5 video file format sponsored by Google, using open source licenses.

Users have suggested to Microsoft that this format has been supported for some time, and now Microsoft is starting to add this feature to the Edge browser.

Windows10's exclusive Edge browser is Microsoft's "Ace" in this system, trying to replace IE browser. However, due to the short development time, this browser does not currently have the strength of a single side, currently only 2% of users are using the Edge browser. Therefore, adding the necessary functions to the Edge browser has become an important task.

Although the Edge browser is still very imperfect, Microsoft's attitude is very positive, which is obvious to users. According to user needs, Microsoft is constantly modifying and adding features to the Edge browser, and popular features such as extensions are gradually being added. In fact, not only must the Edge browser function be rich and colorful, but also improve the basic browsing ability is also an important part.

For example, this time I joined WebM video playback support, this feature has been implemented in mainstream third-party browsers, such as Google Chrome browser and Firefox browser Firefox.

For the Edge browser to defeat the opponent, the basic ability must not appear short. (Source:WinBeta)
