How to maximize your privacy in Win10?

After a while ago, we used the win10 system. Since then, the privacy is passers-by. The official version of win10 collects user information by default. Of course, we have reason to believe that this collection is kind and secure; however, if you are very concerned about the security of your personal information, Windows 10 also offers the option of not collecting personal information.

1, select "Customize Settings" during installation, instead of "Quick Settings".

In the image page, a simple click "Use Quick Set> button saves time and effort, but makes it possible to share information such as voice, input, contacts, calendar, location, and ad ID. If you care about the security of this information, then click on the "Custom Settings" on the left (the word is small, all the content that must be, but not willing to let you see, this virtue).

2, Xiaona is a personal information "large consumer".

Windows 10's personal digital assistant "Xiao Na", using machine learning technology to serve us, but also deeply involved in our personal information, such as our mail, contacts and other information. Turning off Xiaona is not complicated. After Win10 is installed, don't set Xiaona; or click Xiaona —— to her settings page —— turn off Xiaona.

3, feedback and diagnostic reporting tools.

The crash report for Windows 10 will be sent to the relevant vendor, and the memory content contained in the report may have content that points to personal data. However, the diagnostic report cannot be completely shut down. You can only minimize the “Diagnostic and Usage Data”, as shown in the figure, set to “Basic”.

4. Use a local account.

Windows 10 is an operating system of the "Cloud Age" and is recommended to log in with a Microsoft account. But this may put some privacy content "synchronized" into the cloud. If you don't want to use a Microsoft account in the first place, then when Win10 prompts you to sign up for an account, turn off WiFi or unplug the network cable, and then, the next step will create a local account.

If you have already logged in with a Microsoft account and want to switch back to your local account, then "Start”——>“Set”+>“Account”—— >“Use local account login”.

5. Protect other account information.

In Windows 10, applications can share information about your account's images, account names, and more. If you think they are doing a bit too much, turn off this sharing: "Start”——>“Set”——>“Privacy”——> “Account information”.

6, adjust “ point-to-point update & rdquo;.

Windows 10 keeps pace with the times, adding the p2p sharing feature to the update. The updates you downloaded may become the "seeds" for other users to update. If you mind this, you can turn it off: "Start”——>“Set”——>“Update & Security”——>“Windows Update&rdquo ;——>“Advanced Options”——>“Choose how to provide updates”.

7. Install anti-virus software.

If you want to further enhance the protection of your personal privacy information, or if your computer has to deal with financial, asset and other information, consider a higher security level of anti-virus software. Whether it's free or for a fee, just keep it safe.
