What should I do if Win10 prompts your credentials to not work when connecting to Remote Desktop? When Win10 connects to the remote desktop, it prompts “Your credentials are not working”. The original saved remote account password could not be used, which caused the remote login system to fail. I will summarize the methods I have solved here and share them with everyone.

1. Local configuration

1. When logging in to the remote connection, you are prompted to enter the account password, but the password is clearly saved.

2,<quo;Win+R”→“gpedit.msc”

3, expand in turn & ldquo; computer configuration & rdquo; & rarquo; & ldquo; management template ”→“System”→“Credential Assignment”→Find “Allow distribution of saved credentials for NTLM server authentication only

4, click &ldquo ; enable ”→Continue to click “Enable”→Enter<quo;TERMSRV/*”→OK

5, after setting, enter “Win+R”→ Enter “gpupdate /force” to force the application to be applied

6. This step is very important. If it is set, it still fails. You can switch the system account by switching the network account back to local. The account changes, and vice versa. Enter the shortcut key <;Win+I”→“Account”

7, click “Change to local account login & rdquo;, in general, it is due to setting up a network account (non Local account) caused the verification of credentials to fail. So after switching, it will be normal. (If you are a local account, it is recommended that the test still fails after the restart, you can continue to try to switch to a network account)

8, according to the prompt, set the password and set a new password

9, after completing, you can log in to the remote.

Second, server-side

1, still enter group policy, but on the server side, "Win+R”→“gpedit.msc”

2, “Computer Configuration” →“Window Settings”→“Security Settings”→“Security Options”→“Network Access: Local Account Sharing and Security Model” → set to “ classic - authenticate the local user, do not change the original identity & rdquo;
