Windows 10 system relaxed account settings Balance Microsoft and local accounts

Windows Insider project members will change after Windows 10 is officially released (July 29), and project leader Gabe Aul explains how to relax the Microsoft Account (MSA) restrictions on Windows 10 systems. Gabe's description is always very succinct, and it's often confusing, but today Windows reporter Paul Thurrott reveals and explains more details in a private blog, explaining in detail the relaxed account settings in Windows 10.

In Paul Thurrott's previous blog post, Windows 8/8.1 usually needs to integrate a Microsoft account (MSA), and very surely writes: "There is a need to use a Microsoft account here", the main reason Many functions and applications in the Windows 8/8.1 system require an account to be bound.

However, in Windows 10, MSA becomes an option again. You can still choose the traditional login operation during the initial installation of Windows 10 system, but it is difficult to find a local account unless you know some tips. However, from the overall point of view, the MSA account requirements in the Windows 10 system still have certain advantages and advanced functions expected by some users. As a result, you can get most of the Windows 10 system apps and experiences, whether you use a Microsoft account to log in or not.

In the Windows 10 system, Microsoft naturally recommends users to use the account login method, but there are hidden settings during the first installation. First, select the “Create new account” option on the Microsoft account page.

Then select "Don't use Microsoft account to log in" on the pop-up screen. This link is very small and it is hard to find if you don't watch it carefully.

So what will Windows 10 do after completing these steps? Then when you jump to the previous page, you can select “Skip this step> (skip this step).

After completing the installation and entering the system, if you want to try using the mail app. So no matter what type of account you try to use, the Windows 8.x mail app recommends that you switch your local account to your Microsoft account.

And in Windows 10, if you use a local account to log in to Windows and try to use the Mail app, the new version of the app has a more beautiful user interface, but still requires you to log in and use a Microsoft account or Gmail account and more.
