How to create a folder on the desktop under Win7 system

In daily use, we always create a lot of folders on the desktop for the convenience of work, but many users do not clean up after using these folders, and put them on the desktop for a long time. Slowing down the speed of the win7 system, today Xiaobian introduces a way to prohibit the desktop from creating folders.

First of all, we must first ensure that the system disk of our computer is in NTFS format. You can check the properties of the system disk to see if it is NTFS format. After confirming the format, we start the following operations:

1, double-click the "Computer" icon on the desktop, open the computer panel, and click on the system disk (C:) on the left: as shown below:

2. In the system panel, double-click the “User” folder to open it, as shown below:

3. In the user folder, double-click “Administration” folder opens, as shown below:

4, then find the “Desktop” folder, right click on it and select “Attributes” as shown below :

5. In the desktop properties panel, switch to the “Security” tab and click the “Edit” button in the Security tab, as shown below:

6. In the Permissions Settings panel of the desktop, select “Administration”user, then tick "Reject write" in the "Security permissions" dialog box below, and then click “ ” and “OK”, as shown below:

7, at this time we return to the desktop again, right Click on the blank space on the desktop, and in the pop-up menu, move to "New" and select the folder and the system prompts "Remove the destination folder access", as shown below:

At this point, we have disabled the desktop creation folder. In order to improve the running speed of our system, it is still advisable to disable the method of creating a folder on the desktop. This allows us to develop the desktop. The habit of creating a folder, if necessary, users can follow the steps of the small series to share settings.
