March 18 news, at the recent Microsoft WinHEC conference, Microsoft announced the official release of Win10 time, free upgrade plan and other news. Now Windows7, Windows8 and Windows Phone 8.1 upgrade Windows10 roadmap has also been announced.

Microsoft will provide system upgrades by providing ISO images and Windows Update.

The roadmap shows that users of the latest versions of Win7 and Win8.1 can choose to use the ISO image or upgrade directly to Win10 via Update. The latest versions of Win7 and Win8 can only be upgraded via ISO. Of course, Windows XP and Windows Vista can also be upgraded to Windows 10 via ISO.

In Windows Phone, Microsoft will provide Windows Phone 8.1 with Windows Mobile 10 (Windows 10 for phones), while WP8 will need to be upgraded to WP8.1. One step upgrade.

As for Windows RT, although Microsoft has said that Windows RT belongs to the Win10 family, it seems that the situation has changed. The roadmap shows that Windows RT will not be able to get any version of Windows 10 updates.

Microsoft has previously stated that as long as the existing Win7/Win8.1 and WP8.1 devices are upgraded to Win10, the Win10 system will be permanently free on these devices, and users will continue to receive upgrades and updates.
