Win7 dual system and linux virtual machine to share files

Virtual machines are the tools we use a lot. In virtual ones, we can install multiple systems at will, without affecting the use of the current system, and can experience the fun of different systems. I have already talked about installing the Linux system in the virtual machine. I won’t say more here. This experience will be followed by how to share files through VMware.

install VMware tool

1, you first start The virtual machine, we can only install this tool if you start your virtual machine.

2, after startup, click on the virtual machine ——VMware tool in the menu bar of VMware. I ordered the computer has been installed, so the display is re-installed, the same, here to re-install once for everyone to see.

3, here to facilitate more beginners, I am using a graphical interface to install, the command is also very simple, it should be, here will not say. Unzip the file to the specified directory. Right click on the VMware tool installation package, there is a decompression option, click —— select the path and create a new folder —— extract it. Using commands is also very simple.

4. Install VMware tool

Open the path of the file you just extracted, open it, and then find the folder of the file you just extracted —&mdash Find the vmware——install.pl. file and double click it. Select the first one, just wait, and you can complete the installation. Running with commands is also very simple. Open the console directly in the directory where the file is located and type ./vmware-install.pl.

Setting up a shared folder

1. Exit the Linux system and find the menu bar of the virtual machine. There is a virtual machine —— setting options.

2. After clicking Settings, select the option button to enter the option interface.

3. There is a shared folder option in the interface of the option, click, on the right side we can select the folder in win7 system to share.

4. First set the shared folder to always enabled, so it will be automatically opened the next time you use it.

5, then click the Add button, after adding, you can select the file path in your host (win7). Then click Continue, OK, I have not added the demo here before.

Read files under linux

1, enter your linux system, open the disk in your computer.

2, select mnt/hgfs, then you can see the folder you just shared. After opening, the files in the folder will appear in front of you. finished.

Note: If you do not try to restart the Linux system try.
