Win10 upgrade tricks! Win7/Win8.1 batch activation user missed free upgrade Win10

In the early morning of the morning, Microsoft announced at the Windows 10 Consumer Preview Conference that Windows 7 and Windows 8.1 genuine users can upgrade for free within one year after the release of Windows 10. This news has made many people very excited.

In fact, not all genuine Windows 7 and Windows 8.1 users can upgrade to Windows 10 for free, and Microsoft has added some hidden terms.

Foreign media reports that only Windows 7 and Windows 8.1 activated by Retail (Retail Key) and OEM (OEM Key) can upgrade Windows 10 for free, and VOLUME (Batch Activation) Mode-activated Windows 7 and Windows 8.1 systems do not enjoy free upgrades.

So, how do you check your Win7 or Win8.1 licensing method? Just enter the "slmgr.vbs /dlv" command in the "Run" window; the third line of content is noticed in the pop-up window, and the location near the end is the authorization method.

After reaffirming, Retail stands for retail key, OEM stands for retail key, and VOLUME stands for volume license key.
