Win10 system is launched, Windows XP will still be strong

Computer Store News: Windows XP has been around for 14 years. Windows XP is outdated and extremely vulnerable to hacking, and it is very slow compared to Windows 7 or Windows 8.1.

But for Windows XP users, they may not care about this. StatCounter's survey over the past 10 months shows that Microsoft's 14-year-old Winows operating system is still early.

However, Net Applications data shows that Windows XP has the second share; StatCounter data shows that Windows XP shares lag behind Windows 8.1, ranking third. But data from both investigators shows that millions of computers still run this old system.

Windows XP ended in April 2014. Microsoft no longer provides updates and security patches. Computers running Windows XP are vulnerable. But users are still running Windows XP, and even worse, they seem reluctant to upgrade their operating systems in the coming months.

According to StatCounter's statistics, when Microsoft decided to stop supporting Windows XP systems with a 17.16% global market share, it began to show a downward trend. But some people (Microsoft) expected that the decline of Windows XP is not so sharp, statistics show that in October 2014, 13.22% of the world's computers still run Windows XP. Windows 8.1 was launched in October 2013, and it still takes a year to go beyond Windows XP (November 2014).

Today, Windows XP is still an important Windows system choice, and people hate changes, although interest in Windows 10 systems is growing.

Windows XP currently has a market share of 12.23%, which is lower than Windows 8.1 - 14.78% and Windows 7 - 54.13%, and is expected to continue to decline slowly in the coming months.

Windows 10 may not change the share of Windows XP because the new operating system does not offer free upgrades for Windows XP users. And XP users also need to upgrade the hardware to meet the system requirements of Windows 10, it is likely that Windows XP will grow slightly. However, most of the world's Windows XP is distributed in China. Microsoft's cooperation with Chinese companies to promote the Win10 system may allow Windows XP users to quickly migrate to the Win10 system.
