Do not repeat Win7, Microsoft strictly guards against Win8.1 Update 2 download leaks

Computer Store News:

It seems that the era of using early betas before the official launch of Windows is over, and Microsoft has made internal changes to prevent Windows downloads from leaking.

Microsoft is said to have enhanced security at its US headquarters, not only to ensure that Windows copies are not compromised, but also to track down any leakers who posted earlier versions of Windows on the Internet.

Russia's WZOR recently said that Microsoft executives are not very happy about the recent leaks of Win8 and Win8.1 versions on the Internet, so some changes have been made to prevent Win8.1 Update 2 And Win9 leaked.

Microsoft is closely monitoring access to servers that store the Windows 8.1 Update 2 beta, and testers using the new operating system will need to separately apply for a key generated by Microsoft, each with a unique signature. So, once a specific version of Windows is exposed on the Internet, Microsoft can easily track down the leaker.

At the same time, WZOR said that Microsoft is paying more attention to its offices in China, because many leaks on the Internet in the past few years have come from China. Microsoft China's sales department is also closely monitored, and the version provided to the vendor also includes codenames to help Microsoft determine which company is leaking.
